Architectural Designer Job in New York City, NY

New requirement for an Architectural Designer job with a leading multidisciplinary design firm based in Manhattan, New York. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, primarily within large-scale high-end hospitality design (hotels & F&B) and have had some exposure to project management. The position will see you work across the full design life cycle for a range of prestigious projects across the US. Salary up to $120,000 plus benefits and hybrid working!

Established over 30 years ago, our client now has around 300 members of staff working form several offices across the US and Europe. This award-winning practice is well-known and frequently recognized for their high-end projects, particularly within the hospitality sector that are located across the globe. They now seek a talented and curious Senior Architectural Designer that has a passion for creating unique spaces and is able to work across all stages of design.

Role & Responsibilities

• Attend client meetings, virtually and in-person
• Project management from concept through to completion
• Concept design and the production of construction drawing packages, your role will cover all phases of projects
• Create schematic designs in 2D and produce 3D renderings/perspectives
• Present designs/schemes to clients/internally for approval
• Mentoring junior members on projects
• Liaise with the wider interior and project management teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of industry experience, primarily within high-end hospitality
• Degree qualified in architecture or similar. Additional qualifications such as LEED would be beneficial but not essential
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, 3DS Max, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite; other 3D software skills welcome
• Proven experience working across all stages of design, including project management, concept design and presenting to clients
• Experience with design specifications, construction documents, and renovation projects
• Must be a strong communicator with a strong design focus.
