Under the supervision of the Directorate Leadership and Principal Architect, the Architectural Designer is responsible for utilizing scope information found on the department scope or work 420 documents. Scope documents can be written descriptions of a project. The Architectural Designer will translate this data into working drawing to be sent out to public bids. The Architectural Designer will prepare documents in accordance with the current California Building Code (i.e. Title 24), the International Building Code, and the Unified Facilities Code. The Architectural Designer will be required to reconcile these requirements in their construction document development.
