Job Title: Billing Administrator

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: $60K to $85K per year

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Billing Administrator to join our team and support legal billing operations. This role will begin with a strong focus on legal e-billing, including uploading invoices, managing billing portals, and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines. Over time, this position will expand into a full-cycle Accounts Receivable role, offering significant growth and development within the organization.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with legal e-billing, strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage electronic billing workflows across multiple client platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and submit invoices through various legal e-billing portals
• Upload supporting documentation, time entries, and legal files as required
• Review invoices for compliance with client billing guidelines and resolve any discrepancies
• Communicate directly with clients and internal teams to address billing issues or rejections
• Track invoice status, monitor aging, and assist with collections follow-up as responsibilities expand
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
• Support the transition to full-cycle AR, including cash application, account reconciliations, and reporting
• Assist with process improvements and ensure timely and accurate billing workflows

Qualifications

• 2+ years of E-Billing experience in the legal industry required
• Familiarity with legal billing systems and client billing portals (e.g., Serengeti, CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Juris etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
