Certified Nursing Assistant at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic nursing care and assists patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, and mobility. This role requires Washington Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS certification and supports patient-focused care at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Description

The Nursing Assistant functions within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical unit(s).

Following orientation, s/he assumes delegated responsibility which may include (but not be limited to) such tasks as: meeting the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients; obtains and reports vitals signs (TPR and BP); performs urine reductions, transports (transfers, discharges) patients; obtains supplies/equipment as necessary from designated departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
