JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Sumter, SC

• Service Setting: Hospital

• Coverage Type: Scheduled + Optional On Call

• Coverage Period: Dec 1, 2025 – ~6 months

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Flexible)

• Orientation: 16 hours (Non-Billable)

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Pediatric (PEDS – up to 18 years) and Adult patients

• Patient Volume/Census: 15 - 30 patients per day

• Case Mix: Medical direction, general anesthesia cases; must be comfortable with pediatric patients

• Special Procedures: No cardiac, neuro, or OB cases

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: 283 (Hospital total)

• Support Staff Available: Nursing staff, surgical team

• Observed Holidays: Yes

• Reason for Coverage: Locum Tenens coverage for anesthesia services

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days with active SC license

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: All-inclusive, subject to change based on provider location

• Travel, Lodging, Malpractice Insurance: Covered (if applicable)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active SC license required (WILL NOT LICENSE)

• Board Certification: NBCRNA

• DEA: Not required

• Certifications: NBCRNA, BLS, ACLS, PALS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years practicing as a CRNA; clean malpractice history

• Other Qualifications: Comfortable with paediatric and adult anesthesia; “bread and butter” anesthesia skills

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric and adult surgical patients during scheduled shifts

• Participate in optional on-call coverage as needed

• Collaborate with surgical teams and nursing staff to ensure patient safety

• Document anesthesia care and interventions accurately

• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and vaccine guidelines
