SKJ Facilities Management has been a leading provider of cleaning services in the Southern Tier for over 25 years; offering permanent employment opportunities in a supportive and safe environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated  Cleaner  in  Ithaca . In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of various facility areas, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers.

Please consider the following openings in the Ithaca area:

• Sunday - Thursday, 6PM - 10PM (20 hours/week).
• Worksites are near Wegmans (off S Meadow / Rt 13) and include cleaning 2 locations 5 minutes drive apart.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and clean assigned facility areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, offices, lobbies, conference rooms, and stairwells.
• Perform tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning glass, emptying trash, dusting surfaces, polishing fixtures, sanitizing surfaces, and stocking and cleaning dispensers.
• Perform floor care tasks that include machine scrubbing, stripping/waxing floors, carpet shampooing.
• Work a consistent, regular schedule to support the company's customers by creating a clean environment.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High level of honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work alone.
• Desire to perform detailed cleaning duties. Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Training is provided.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and have the stamina to be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, push, twist, climb stairs, and reach high and low during your shift.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and tools to complete assigned tasks.
• Compliance with all proper safety policies and procedures to include wearing of necessary PPE provided by SKJ.
• Ability to read and write in English in order to read work related information and complete checklists.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
