Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer / Architect

Location: [New Jersey | Remote] 

DataEconomy is seeking highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineers / Architects with deep Terraform expertise and a proven track record in automating and operating enterprise-scale infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. This is a critical role supporting tier 1 financial applications , with an emphasis on security , high availability , and automation at scale .

The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of Terratest , extensive experience in integrating with security and certificate management tools such as Ping , HashiCorp Vault , and Venafi , and a strong understanding of AWS , DevOps toolchains , and infrastructure security .

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain scalable Terraform modules for infrastructure provisioning on AWS.

· Implement Terratest-based testing for infrastructure validation and enforce best practices.

· Build and maintain secure, resilient infrastructure for financial and mission-critical applications .

· Integrate infrastructure workflows with security platforms (e.g., Ping, Vault, Venafi) for certificate management and identity federation.

· Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.

· Support application migration of critical financial systems to AWS cloud platforms.

· Collaborate with platform, security, and networking teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

· Provide technical leadership in driving automation, observability, and DevOps maturity.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

·5+ years hands-on experience with Terraform, including reusable modules, state management, and remote backends.

·7+ years of DevOps experience with tools such as Jenkins, Git, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.

·3+ years experience working with core AWS services (EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, EKS, etc.).

·5+ years experience in networking, EKS, AWS Firewall Manager, and AFT.

·5+ years experience architecting and deploying high-availability financial trading platforms.

·3+ years implementing or supporting financial systems, with emphasis on reliability and security.

·6+ years of designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for critical systems using modern tools.

·4+ years of experience migrating financial IT applications to AWS cloud environments.

· Hands-on experience integrating with HashiCorp Vault, Venafi, and PingFederate or similar tools for certificate and secret management.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Terragrunt and managing IaC across multi-account AWS environments.

· Familiarity with AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform (AFT).

· Exposure to regulated industries (finance, healthcare) with compliance standards (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS).

· Experience with infrastructure observability and tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.

· Strong communication skills and experience in leading technical discussions with cross-functional teams.

Certifications (Nice to Have)

· HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate

· AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional

· Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
