WTTG/WDCA – Digital Video Producer (Regular Full-Time, Weekends)
FOX 5 DC is searching for a Digital Video Producer to lead the lifecycle of our streaming-first content strategy and drive audience growth across FOX LOCAL, fox5dc.com, YouTube and social media platforms. You’ll play a key part in the planning, production, optimization, and promotion of compelling live streaming content across FOX 5 DC’s CTV and FAST channels, website, news app and social media platforms.

What You’ll Do:
Produce breaking news and live event streams for FOX Local, FOX5DC.com, and YouTube, as well as a recurring weekly streaming show. Balance the urgency of real-time coverage with the planning and production of consistent programming designed to build loyal audiences.
Program and update the streaming schedule for CTV, FAST, and the website, using audience behavior and data to guide decisions.
Collaborate with the Digital Content Manager to track and analyze KPIs, identify audience growth opportunities, and adjust platform strategies in real time.
Plan, produce, edit, and publish video and graphic-based content for TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook Reels to grow engagement and reach.
Create promotional assets for streaming shows and special coverage.
Provide occasional project support for Creative Services and other digital initiatives.
What You’re Bringing:
Proven experience producing and editing live and short-form video for streaming or digital platforms.
Strong understanding of audience data and platform analytics (Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Excel/Sheets).
Excellent news judgment and awareness of trending topics and social media culture.
Knowledge of best practices for video content on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms; familiarity with FAST channels/CTV a plus.
Skills in SEO for video and optimizing for watch time, click-through, and retention.
Proficiency in Premiere or Edius, plus graphics tools like Photoshop or Express.
Strong writing and visual storytelling skills.
Ability to balance creativity with speed and accuracy under deadline.
What You’ll Need:
2–3 years’ experience in TV news or digital news production, with a focus on streaming, live, or short-form video.
Degree in communications, media, journalism, or related field.
Portfolio demonstrating live and short-form digital video content.

Additional Details:
FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24/7 operation. This role requires working at least one weekend day each week, with occasional full weekends for major coverage. Flexibility for breaking news on nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
