Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service technician work, security system design, and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement custom security systems tailored to client needs.
• Assemble, install, and maintain security equipment, including alarms, cameras, and access control systems.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure all systems are operational and up to standard.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues with security systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with team members on system integration projects.
• Provide clients with technical support and system guidance when necessary.

Experience and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven experience in a service technician or related role.
• Camera assembly and wiring
• Basic soldering & wire skills
• Strong knowledge of security system design principles.
• Control Panel Fabrication a plus
• Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) is preferred.
• Proficiency in using power tools, reading schematics, and understanding electrical diagrams.
• Ability to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of computer networking protocols is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in security technology or electrical systems (preferred but not required).
• Strong electrical and mechanical background.

Location & Work Environment:
This position is based in Columbia, IL . The primary work environment is an air-conditioned shop, providing a comfortable setting for most tasks. However, the role also involves working on various job sites, which may require some travel. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different work environments are essential.
