A highly qualified Teacher/Governess is sought for a long-term Rota role (2 weeks on/1 month off, with flexibility) based in the USA.
The position supports the academic and personal development of a school-aged child in a fully staffed household, with extensive worldwide travel during school holidays.
Responsibilities:
• Support and reinforce school learning, ensuring academic progress and organisation of school calendar/events.
• Create engaging, age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
• Oversee child-related planning, logistics and administration.
• Collaborate with household staff and coordinate activities for guest children during travel.
• Maintain structure, discipline and creativity with a nurturing yet professional approach.
Requirements:
• Hold a US passport and be based in the US.
• Teaching degree with classroom and private household experience.
• Proven longevity (5+ years) in UHNW families and prior 24/7 Rota roles.
• Strong understanding of child development, leadership skills and extensive travel experience with children.
• Highly proactive, organised, discreet and adaptable.
