The Facility Preventive Maintenance Technician

is responsible for the upkeep of the facility and preventive maintenance of various equipment, devices, and machines. This position will schedule work tasks around administrative and production activities. This position will also assist other maintenance technicians with duties that require two or more employees. This position works with little supervision, and must be capable of working independently.

**Shift: **

2-2-3 Schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)

5:45 AM - 6:15 PM (12 Hour)

This position reports to the Facilities Manager and is part of the Maintenance Department, located in Pensacola, Florida and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

• Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting, light bulb and electric ballast replacement, ceiling tile replacement, concrete repair, and assisting in deck building.
• Conduct minor equipment preventive maintenance including lubrication, filter changes, belt replacements, and cleaning coils on air compressors, air handlers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Execute building preventive maintenance by treating rusted areas, pressure washing exterior walls and concrete, and maintaining the roof.

Who you are:

• High School Degree or GED with at least 3+ years of experience in building/facility maintenance
• Proficient in using tools such as circular saws, jig saws, band saws, reciprocating saws, drill motors, grinders, sanders, and drill presses.
• Knowledgeable in various cleaning solvents, including paint thinners, mineral spirits, contact cleaners, parts-washing solvents, coil cleaners, and acetone. .

Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 40lbs
• Ability to stand, squat, and reach for an extended period

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Ability to operate a high lift to perform work in high places
• Ability to use a digital/analog multimeter
