Trans One, Inc. is hiring Driver Helpers to support our delivery operations in the Chicago area. As a Driver Helper, you will work alongside our professional delivery drivers to ensure packages are delivered safely and efficiently to customers. This role starts as part-time , with opportunities to expand into a full-time position based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities
Assist Trans One drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering packages to residential and business locations.
Safely handle packages, including heavy items up to 150 lbs .
Follow all company safety and compliance standards .
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
Navigate steps, curbs, and uneven surfaces while carrying packages.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Support drivers in maintaining delivery schedules and accuracy .
Part-time position to start; potential to move into full-time .
Flexible scheduling based on delivery volume and route needs.
Pay: $17.00 per hour (USD).
No prior work experience required ; training provided.
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Comfortable being on foot for extended periods and climbing in/out of vehicles throughout the day.
Dependable and punctual, with a professional attitude.
Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
