Job Description

We are looking for a motivated garage door service technician to join our growing staff. As a technician, your main duties will be installing garage doors in residences and commercial buildings, as well as training new technicians. Since our business specializes in remodels, new installations, and repairs, technicians will visit various project sites, and no two days will be the same. You'll be interacting with customers on a daily basis across all of our service areas, so you must possess excellent customer service skills. A person with experience using power tools and a fundamental knowledge of how electrical systems are wired and connected would be an ideal candidate for this position. • Be on time for all appointments, and put forth your best effort to satisfy customers
• Attend meetings, follow all company policies, and participate in decision-making
• Present options to the customer after inspecting and accurately diagnosing any problems with the current system
• Accurately measure openings for installation and site checks for bigger jobs
• Use software to take notes, create quotes, and send invoices
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of all products, enhance mechanical skills, and learn new installation techniques to meet our high standards of quality workmanship with minimal warranty issues
• Implement safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure all job tickets are accurately completed, signed, and submitted
• Communicate with management regarding any problems or changes in the scope of work
• Maintain truck inventory and develop an understanding of all parts, including their numbers and descriptions

Qualifications:

• Skills in communication, listening, and working well with others are a must
• Ability to use a measuring tape, as well as proficiency in math and problem-solving, are essential
• For this role, you need to have outstanding skills in providing service to customers
• Working knowledge of electrical wiring and connections
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial garage door lead experience
