Pay Range: $38.28 - $38.28 per hour

Pay Transparency:

The above reflects the anticipated per hour wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education Degree GED minimum of five years appropriate trade experience,
• And or Completion of acceptable apprentice program at an accredited union program, vocational or technical school,
• Must have proper certificates or licenses related to his/her particular skill,
• Must have a New Jersey drivers license, and Successful completion of all Orientation Programs,
• Must be able to operate a variety of plant equipment, hand and power tools,
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment operation and repair,
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints or schematics,
• Must be able to use educational training and skills to perform his/her service function to a level of journeyman mechanic.

Scheduling requirements:

• 7 AM to 3PM Monday to Friday

Essential Functions:

• HVAC mechanics are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Their duties include diagnosing problems, performing routine maintenance, and making necessary repairs to ensure the systems operate efficiently and safely
• They may also be involved in energy-efficiency upgrades
• Installing new HVAC systems and components, including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring,
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing or replacing faulty components, and recharging refrigerant levels
• Inspecting and testing systems and components to ensure proper functioning and efficiency,
• Identifying and diagnosing problems with HVAC systems, determining the root cause of malfunctions, and recommending solutions.
