Position: Janitor/Cleaner
Location: Atlanta, GA
Starting Pay: $17.40/hour Saturday and Sunday 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm (Part-time)

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of all carpeted and hard floor areas, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and spot cleaning to ensure a debris- and stain-free environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all resident-facing and common areas such as the lobby, hallways, gym, pool, lounge, parking decks, and loading dock.
• Restock essential supplies including paper products and hand soap in all designated areas.
• Sanitize and tidy restrooms, ensuring all fixtures, mirrors, and floors are clean and disinfected.
• Clean glass surfaces on doors, panels, and furniture tops to keep them streak- and fingerprint-free.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles throughout the premises, including trash chute rooms, and ensure chutes are functioning properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dog park area, including pressure washing and waste removal.
• Conduct exterior cleaning by removing debris from the parking lot and around the building.
• Dust desks and other horizontal surfaces below six feet, taking care not to disturb staff materials.
• Remove cobwebs and report any light outages or maintenance issues promptly.
• Report damages, vandalism, or other issues to the appropriate authority immediately.
• Manage cleaning supply inventory, ensuring at least a one-week stock of consumables is available.
• Keep storage areas for cleaning equipment and supplies clean and organized.
• Document daily cleaning activities using a designated app and notify the Team Lead of any deficiencies or repair needs.
• Consistently adhere to health, safety, and security protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to move, ascend/descend, and position self to clean all areas, including stairwells and both horizontal and vertical spaces.
• Must be able to frequently operate, use, move, or transport cleaning machinery and instruments.
• Must be able to frequently move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to constantly work around dust, loose debris, and cleaning supplies.

Work Environment:

• Often work indoors but may sometimes work outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Exposed to cleaning equipment and chemicals on a daily basis.
• Almost always required to wear protective gear such as gloves and masks.
• Occasionally exposed to distracting noise levels or uncomfortable sounds from equipment.
• May need to work in awkward positions or reach cramped workspaces.
• Work near others and often share the same workspace.
