Reports To: Store Manager

Job Summary: The Liquor Trap is looking for a friendly and reliable Liquor Store Cashier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling sales transactions, maintaining store cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with state liquor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance with product selection.
• Operate cash registers, handle financial transactions, and ensure accurate checkout processes.
• Verify the age of customers purchasing alcohol to comply with legal requirements.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, and availability.
• Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain store cleanliness and appearance.
• Manage inventory by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages to the store manager.
• Handle returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of liquor products is a plus.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol (21 years or older).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly.
