What you’ll need to succeed as a Manager of Weight and Inspections at XPO

Minimum qualifications:

• 4 years of weights and inspection experience
• Supervisory experience
• Available to travel up to 50% of the time
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, varying shifts and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Sales experience
• Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience, including knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT rules and regulations
• Knowledge of behavior-based safety techniques

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Provide day-to-day management of regional staff including creating work schedules
• Determine and coordinate training needs for both new hires and existing team members
• Review quarterly audit performance to identify discrepancies and errors in the inspection and correction processes
• Prepare and deliver corrective action reports to the team and senior management
• Instruct W&I, Operations and Sales staff on the proper use of National Motor Freight Classifications (NMFC) and rules, in addition to the XPO 199 rules tariff
• Ensure supervisors are providing mentorship and training to staff on key initiatives and programs to decrease exceptions and improve audit compliance
