Raynor Doors of Lexington is a trusted provider of commercial and residential door solutions. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality service to our customers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Overhead Door Installer to join our growing team.

Position Summary:

The Overhead Door Installer is responsible for the installation, service, and repair of residential, commercial, and industrial overhead doors and related equipment. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while working independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair overhead doors, sectional doors, rolling steel doors, dock equipment, and related hardware.
  
• Assemble and install tracks, springs, cables, openers, and other mechanical components.
  
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with doors and operators; perform troubleshooting and repairs.
  
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools, and equipment related to installations.
  
• Perform measurements, adjustments, and testing to ensure doors function safely and properly.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate installation.
  
• Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices.
  
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing client questions and providing recommendations.
  
• Assist in training junior team members as needed.
  
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment organized and in good working conditions.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
  
• Prior experience in overhead door installation, construction, carpentry, welding, or a related trade is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
  
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying environments (indoor, outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
  
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
  

Work Environment:

• Full-time, year-round work with overtime as needed.
  
• Job sites include residential homes, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and commercial buildings.
  
• Exposure to loud noise, dust, varying temperatures, and working at heights.
