Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care, support patient mobility, and assist in treatment planning to promote optimal recovery and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions.

• Document patient progress, responses to treatment, and any notable changes.

• Collaborate with the rehab team and facility staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Support patient education regarding therapy goals, safety, and at-home exercises.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant therapy environment.

Requirements:

• Active state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant (must be current).

• SNF experience preferred but not required.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently while following the PT's plan of care.

• BLS certification may be required per facility standards.

Assignment Details:

• 13-week contract

• 8-hour day shifts

• One position available

• Holiday coverage not required

• EMR system: Not listed

• Minimum Experience: Less than 1 year accepted
