We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Nurse (RN or LPN) to oversee and coordinate quality assurance, staff education, and infection prevention initiatives. This role ensures compliance with state, federal, and internal standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory readiness.
Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & ComplianceImplement and maintain policies and procedures related to quality assurance in alignment with healthcare regulations, facility practices, and evidence-based standards.
Gather and analyze data through audits, interviews, and monitoring to ensure compliance across all departments.
Review monthly CASPER reports and develop Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) performance improvement plans as needed.
Prepare, distribute, and interpret quality assurance and statistical reports for facility leadership and staff.
Assist supervisors and department heads in developing and implementing corrective action plans.
Monitor and document corrective measures for identified deficiencies from survey or compliance findings.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure adherence to all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in investigations of non-compliance, including incidents involving abuse, neglect, or mistreatment.
Coordinate facility readiness and participation in regulatory surveys.
Lead and facilitate internal Quality Assurance and Infection Control Committee meetings.
Identify staff training needs and develop educational programs focused on quality assurance, compliance, and infection prevention.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training and ensure staff competency in required areas.
Maintain accurate documentation of staff education and training compliance.
Track and trend infection data using McGeer and non-McGeer criteria.
Conduct daily infection control surveillance rounds to ensure adherence to infection control protocols and individualized care plans.
Stay current on infection prevention best practices and participate in educational opportunities provided by CMS, CDC, and other regulatory bodies.
Knowledge of:

OBRA and other nursing home regulatory standards

Active RN or LPN license in the State of Arizona
Infection Preventionist Certification required
DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required
Valid Arizona Driver’s License required (in-state travel may be necessary)
