Seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager in the Cincinnati area to support the Restaurant Manager of a sports bar and grill in a casino property by overseeing daily operations, including staff supervision, training, and customer service, as well as managing inventory, finances, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, schedule, train, and manage restaurant staff

• Recommend employee actions such as raises, promotions, or disciplinary measures

• Understand and align daily operations with department goals, standards, and budget and adjust schedules based on business needs

• Help grow revenue by improving menu offerings, service quality, portion control, and reducing waste

• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any complaints or questions

• Monitor servers, bus persons and other staff members to meet or exceed service expectations

• Adjust staffing levels based on business volumes

• Maintain accurate records and reports as required

• Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations

• Assist Restaurant Manager with planning budgets, staff schedules, and accountability systems

• Assist Restaurant Manager to develop and enforce policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory standards

• Facilitate clear communication between front and back of house teams while taking ownership of all responsible areas

• Meet daily deadlines of opening, creating, and posting table-talks for specials and produces sample dishes for pre-shifts in a timely manner and reviews nightly special postings, prep level reports, and critical inventory comparisons

• Conduct regular quality checks on food and service

• Monitor purchasing, staffing, and inventory to control product and labor costs and minimize waste, ensuring adherence to the budget

• Monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness and respond to customer needs promptly

• Ensure all stations are stocked and equipment is in good working condition

• Performs other related duties as needed.

Skills and Requirements

• 3 years of supervisory experience in a high volume restaurant.

• Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a valid gaming license
