12+ years of experience across SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules
Hands-on experience with at least 3 full lifecycle SAP implementations
Strong knowledge of accounting/finance business processes and cross-module integration with SD, MM, and PP
Experience in S/4HANA Finance implementation or brownfield migration projects
Exposure to Material Ledger and SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR)
Familiarity with integration using PI and SAP Integration Suite
Excellent communication and leadership skills

Thinking Minds Inc.’s client is seeking a Senior SAP FICO Consultant / Solution Architect for a high-impact contract role to support their SAP S/4HANA transformation journey. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned professional who can lead financial system architecture, design scalable solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful system delivery and integration.
The consultant will play a key role in the end-to-end design, implementation, and support of SAP FICO systems. Acting as a strategic advisor and solution architect, you’ll partner with internal and external stakeholders to align financial systems with business objectives.
This role requires deep expertise in SAP Finance and Controlling, integration experience with other core SAP modules (SD, MM, PP), and a solid grasp of modern SAP platforms, especially S/4HANA. Candidates with experience in PI/CPI integration and additional modules like SAP RAR and Material Ledger will be highly preferred.
While the client prefers onsite work at their West California location, remote candidates willing to travel for key workshops and meetings will also be considered.
Serve as the SAP FICO Solution Architect for S/4HANA transformation initiatives
Lead the design and implementation of SAP Finance solutions aligned with business goals
Collaborate with SAP technical and functional teams across modules (SD, MM, PP)
Drive integration with external systems via PI/CPI or SAP Integration Suite
Manage full project lifecycle phases including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support
Work closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure seamless transition to SAP S/4HANA via a brownfield approach
Provide guidance on SAP RAR and Material Ledger implementations (if applicable)
Support change management and documentation efforts
