Lamers Bus Lines is looking for a skilled and motivated CDL driver to join our team as a Bus Driver & Trainer. This role blends the satisfaction of safe, reliable driving with the rewarding opportunity to train and support new drivers as they launch their careers.
Drive with Purpose
Safely operate a school bus for school routes, charter trips or serving as a substitute driver.
Provide a smooth, safe, and respectful ride for every passenger.
Complete pre-trip inspections and report any issues to maintenance promptly.
Lead by Example
Train new drivers on safe operation, proper procedures, and Lamers’ high standards. Prepare new drivers for CDL road tests.
Conduct evaluations and offer supportive feedback.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations.
Provide refresher training and ongoing support for current drivers.
A valid Wisconsin CDL with P & S endorsements and no air brake restriction.
At least 2 years of recent professional bus driving experience.
Prior experience as a trainer or mentor is a big plus.
A strong understanding of transportation safety rules and regulations.
Clear communication skills and a supportive, patient approach to training.
