Our  Technology team has 6 different departments: Information Security, Service Delivery, Business Enabling Systems, eCommerce & Marketing Technology, Data and Stores, Services & Supply Chain.

The Senior Director of SAP Strategy & Operations will lead the transformation of PetSmart’s SAP ECC Migration to S4/HANA. This role should have an understanding of Retail operations and the SAP’s product Eco-System. 

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.  This position in onsite in our Phoenix Home Office. 

This role will also have responsibility to ensure current ECC environment is operating to our expected SLA while migration is taking place. Therefore, this role will need to ensure no disruption to the business while also ensuring current and future business requirements are incorporated into the overall SAP solution. Reporting to this role will be SAP Development, SAP Basis Team.  This role also has overall responsibility for EDI traffic for PetSmart.

• Project Management: Create and execute on the SAP S4/HANA Roadmap Execution. Ensure migration activities are identified and planned as a part of PetSmart’s ERP Modernization program while maintaining our compliance through SOX. Build and maintain SAP Migration Leadership Program; Necessary program will include Executive Steering team that includes all necessary Vendors to make program successful. A successful program will also identify risks and necessary workstreams including change management. Process Improvement: Where appropriate ensure that PetSmart’s retail operations are optimized and fit into the S4/HANA process, maintaining standard SAP functionality and a “clean core” where possible. Support and lead where necessary System Integrators to ensure the success of the migration. Responsible for maintaining SOX compliance related to separation of duties where needed, and support CISO in compliance activities. Accountable for ensuring the integrity and compliance of all licensing activities within assigned scope
  Budgeting: Accountable for IT planning and cost inputs to business case development. Work with leadership teams to identify technology changes necessary for project and provides inputs to resources, timeline, and cost estimates to complete project work. Manage OG&A expenditures and planning to ensure adherance to financial forecasts.

• Prioritization: Lead collaboration and communication with business stakeholders, necessary vendors (SAP) and internal Technology Partners. Shape and challenge the demand, priorities and expectations of business leaders utilizing the platform and applications. Continually assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for the leadership team in a consultative capacity. Drive visibility and knowledge of new product enhancements and long-term SAP systems roadmap.

• Talent management: Provide oversight and direction to entire SAP and EDI teams to ensure individual performance and career growth.

• Team Leadership - Lead a team of 15 highly capable associates and build a competitive team to ensure long term success of not only SAP but PetSmart’s culture.  

• Support & Enhancement: Through a focus on quality, ensure stability and health in implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of technology and related processes. Integration: Lead integration between processes and functional SAP capabilities with a bias for holistic process design and standardized solutions to minimize customization and duplication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience SAP landscapes, finance and HR business and system processes
• Experience with SAP, Avalara, OpentText - VIM, Riskonnect, Cadient, SuccessFactors, OpenText EDI VAN, BlackLine
