Our client, a growing organization in need of specialized tax expertise, is seeking a Part-Time Tax Consultant to provide strategic tax guidance and compliance support. This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the United States

About the Role:

As a Tax Consultant, you will work directly with our client’s internal finance and leadership teams to ensure tax compliance, optimize tax strategies, and support various tax-related initiatives. This is a contract role with flexible hours, ideal for experienced professionals seeking part-time consulting work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on federal, state, and local tax matters
• Review and prepare tax filings, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns
• Advise on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities
• Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulations
• Support audits and respond to tax authority inquiries as needed
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors

Qualifications:

• CPA or EA certification strongly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant tax experience (public accounting or in-house)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. tax code and multi-state tax issues
• Experience with tax software and financial systems
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
