Television Program Producer (Beijing)BON's focus is to position itself as the world's leading independent television video news agency dedicated to China-specific content and service. BON's core aim is to provide the best, most relevant, comprehensive, and fastest independent business and lifestyle news and features service there is on China.About the RoleReporting to the Chief Editor, the Producer will be responsible for the production of daily BON Video Media output on one or more projects.The range of tasks in this role includes:- cutting and scripting material for our daily output;- directing single, and sometimes dual, camera shoots and conducting interviews with contributors;- adhering to compliance guidelines and trends for broadcasters and media buyers, responding to critical feedback from all stakeholders;- dealing with requests from media buyers and developing and maintaining client relationships where necessary.PLEASE NOTE: the role will require working weekends and evenings as part of a shift pattern, and occasional travel around China.Candidates must have experience working within a busy bureau or news department environment, with the ability and experience to make editorial decisions in a pressurized environment without direct supervision.Management and organizational skills are essential, as are script and links writing skills as you will be supervising reporters/journalists, handing out assignments and guiding project workflows with tight daily deadlines.Candidates will be expected to have a strong interest in China with an emphasis on one or more of the following areas: business, culture, tourism, technology, policy, society and sport.Experience using non-linear editing suites is essential.
