**Job Title: Pipe Welder**
**Job Description**
As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for performing multi-pass, all position fillet and butt welds using the SMAW process. You will fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe using both SMAW and GTAW processes, including mirror welding. You will also use an Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch and adhere to OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry. You must properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale, and pass computer-based training.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
+ Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
+ Set up components for welding according to specifications, such as cutting material with powered saws to match measurements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in SMAW and TIG welding processes.
+ Experience in welding carbon and stainless steel.
+ Ability to weld pipe using various techniques including electric, gas, arc, or other equipment.
+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to the shipbuilding industry.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-5 years' experience in TIG and STICK pipe welding.
+ Three years of experience working with pipe/metals using various techniques.
+ Must pass SMAW 6-inch weld test.

**Work Environment**
You will be working on various construction jobs throughout Hampton Roads, with a schedule from Monday through Friday, 6 am to 4 pm, with occasional Saturdays. The job involves working on the Ameresco project in Norfolk.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
