SmallHD designs and manufactures cutting-edge display products for both the independent filmmaker and cinematography industry. Our monitors are being used worldwide to consistently provide creative professionals with real-time confidence in their image. SmallHD products are known for their durability, premium display quality, and incredible user interface.

What will I be doing?

You will translate high-level requirements into engaging user experiences. You will be the primary originator for new UI/UX features implemented on new and existing products. This may include future field monitors, cinema equipment, or desktop and mobile applications. You will work closely with the Software team to iterate on these designs as they are implemented.

A typical day might include the following

• Reviewing feature requirements and creating frameworks and mockups
• Creating storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate design ideas
• Establishing the UI/UX processes for design and validation of designs and features consistent with the connectivity software development framework and the enterprise UI/UX processes.
• Conduct user research activities to create user flows and journey mapping
• Collaborate with Product Managers and the design team to ensure user journeys and processes are aligned
• Participate in planning meetings with decision makers and stakeholders to define interface and usability requirements for applications and features.

Qualified candidates must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, UX Design, Human Factors or related field. Or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience working with a software development team
• 5 years of experience in design
• Understanding of videography equipment and principles a plus
