Reports to: CFO

Location: Boisset Collection, St. Helena, CA

Job Summary

The IT Director oversees all Information Technology functions at Boisset Collection. The role is responsible for the company's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems, policies, procedures, risk, and security. The IT Director is a trusted advisor to the executive leadership on all matters related to IT. This position manages Boisset Collection's IT team but also must help support all users at every level of the company with service, education, and training. This leadership role ensures that all IT operations align with business goals, are secure, scalable, and cost-effective, and support the company's growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
•  Manage and mentor Information Technology professionals, ensuring high levels of performance and support on-site, over the phone, via email, and through Boisset's ticket system.
•  Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution guidance.
•  Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance support operations; develop policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure data security.
•  Optimize resource allocation to meet fluctuating support demands and maintain operational efficiency.
•  Generate and analyze performance reports to identify trends, areas for improvement, and success metrics.
•  Maintain clear and transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on support activities.
•  Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend tools, training, and protocols to improve support services and operational efficiency.
•  Serve as a project manager for major IT projects and technology initiatives.
•  Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align IT initiatives with business needs and enhance employee productivity.
•  Partner with the CFO and finance to own the budget for the technology department.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

•  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience in an IT management or leadership role.
•  8+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
•  Proven experience in developing and implementing IT strategies and infrastructure.
•  Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM), cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and data governance.

Skills & Competencies:

•  Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor your approach based on the end user.
•  Excellent strategic planning and organizational abilities.
•  In-depth knowledge of IT systems, databases, endpoint management, Windows Server, security best practices (including DMARC, SPF, DKIM), POS systems, enterprise VoIP systems, and software deployment.
•  Strong networking skills, including IP routing, switching, DNS, WLAN, fiber appliances (AT&T), Comcast, firewalls, VPN, CAT-5/6 termination; experience with Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SonicWall.
•  Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams effectively.
•  Familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks is a plus.
•  Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Exchange, Office 365, Business Central, Square, C7, Freshservice, Intermedia Unite, Continia, Cloudflare, Sonos, VSA, Proofpoint, CrowdStrike, SharePoint, and other cloud services.

Working Conditions
•  Typically work in an office environment, but does require travel to properties.
•  Requires travel to company properties throughout the Napa and Sonoma Valleys, as well as other locations in Northern California.
•  Must be available to respond to emergency IT issues outside of regular business hours.
