Job Description

Our Client is a leader in secure, connected identification technology serving K-12 districts, colleges, and organizations nationwide. Their Badge Platform powers identity and access management for over one million students and staff, helping schools create safer, more efficient environments every day.

They're now launching the next generation of their product — a complete re-imagining of how credentials, mobile IDs, and connected readers work together. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, growing team that values creativity, technical excellence, and the tangible impact our work has on students and educators across the country.

About the Role
Our client is looking for a Web Developer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to contribute to a platform that truly makes a difference. You’ll take part in new feature development, UI innovation, and performance optimization as we modernize and expand our flagship Badge Platform.

You’ll work closely with engineering leadership, product management, and client-support teams to deliver solutions that are elegant, reliable, and secure. They aim to enhance the daily lives of educators and students nationwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain our Badge web application and admin sites using TypeScript, React, CSS, PHP, and MariaDB.
  • Build high-quality, maintainable code with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in new product feature development — from concept through deployment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, designers, and support teams to improve user experience.
  • Apply LEAN development principles to ensure efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to automated testing and quality assurance using Playwright or Cypress.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 3–7 years of experience developing full-stack or front-end web applications.
  • Proficiency with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, CSS, and experience working with PHP or similar back-end technologies.
  • Understanding of responsive UI design, APIs, and database integration (MariaDB or MySQL).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, detail orientation, and commitment to delivering clean, maintainable code.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; leadership experience a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder (we cannot sponsor H-1B or other foreign work permits).
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package with profit sharing plan.
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 remote).
  • No mandatory overtime outside of peak season — we believe in balance and focus.
  • Dedicated tome for personal development and learning.
  • Mentorship and career growth in a collaborative, mission-driven team.
  • Opportunity to make a real impact — your code will help manage and protect over one million student identities nationwide.
Our Culture
We’re builders. We’re problem-solvers. And we care deeply about the people our technology serves.
We value integrity, teamwork, innovation, and quality, and we believe in empowering every team member to take ownership of their craft. If you want to write meaningful code and see the real-world results of your work — this is the place for you.
