Job Description

Coperion is now hiring a Welder to join our team in Sabetha, KS.

Welders are responsible for constructing and assembling mechanical systems.

Work You’ll Do:

• Construct structural components based on blueprints.
• Fits structural components together to create finished systems.
• Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, for example machinery frames, pressure vessels, and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of fitting, welding and metallurgy. 
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal, machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Robotics or Cobot Arms is highly preferred. 
• Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints. 
• Welding experience. 
• Dependable and reliable.
