Definitely got the virus, and I love the one “You get withdrawal symptoms when you haven’t travelled for a few months or feel the need to plan your next trip before coming home from your current trip.” It’s like having memories getting back at me everytime! 55 countries!? Oh my! Couldn’t reach this out yet! Does the European countries count since I’m from an European one? Haha!
Hi Liana, Other European countries count as long as it is not your own. I am glad that you enjoyed the post. Keep on travelling 🙂
55 countries? Wow! I can see why you have picked up these tips. Go on what is a Visa Run?!
It has now reached 60 🙂 A visa run is when you are staying longer than the visa allows you to for the country you are in therefore you take the cheapest transport out of the country to re-enter again thus getting a new visa 🙂
Every traveler can relate to this post. Haha! How you mentioned having withdrawal symptoms as well as having starting off with every statement with “when I was is..” are very spot on for every travelr. Thanks for making this list. I sure did have a great time reading and seeing my self in it. 🙂
I am glad you enjoyed reading it 🙂
All true symptoms of the travel bug. But the most important is deep down you have this restless urge to move on to new destinations and new experiences.
It is not that I don’t love my home, I just love new experiences more 🙂
I could definitely relate to the withdrawal comment! Hoping someday to have the “ran out of pages in my passport” problem! So fun!
I’m glad that you can relate to it 🙂
Well i can relate to all of these except 4, 7, 8 & 10. I enjoyed reading this! 2 & 6 were my favorite.
#6 is so me, I always ask people where they from sometimes even before ask their name. Local residents look weird at me as if I am from Martian. I also get the cabin fever if I do not travel for weeks. I just back from my trip in Atlantic Canada in less than a month and now my feet gets itchy.
Soothe those itchy feet with some travel plans quick!!!
This was an awesome read. Perfectly describes me. I am having my withdrawals right now. Just returned last month from a year in Asia and I leave next week for 2 months in Europe. So excited. My favorite was the comment about the visa run. People don’t seem to understand the simple concept haha
I’m on the count down for my next trip which is going to be for more than a year but time is going so slow. I hope that your time before Europe flies by :-0
