Haha that’s all very true 😛 Especially the flip flops…sometimes it’s weird not wearing them… And yeah all my stories now start with ‘when I was in’, but I think that’s the best way to start a story. Looks like you’ve had some amazing adventures!
Awesome list! True – as long as I get to sleep, even if its a airport floor, its ok! Withdrawal symptoms are too real! 45 days without travelling and that felt like an eon!!! I got back my peace of mind only after reaching the next destination. Making new friends is definitely the best part of solo travel!
I am #3 hand down. I just came back from a 7-week trip to Austria and London and I still haven’t adjusted to the fact that I can’t afford to travel for the next couple of months. I’m already mentally planning another trip haha Love this list! It’s very accurate for travellers!
Apart from the passport thing all other points matches! (And that’s because we Indians find it difficult to visit abroad as VOA or visa free travel is very rare for Indian passport holders). That’s a picture of an Indian sleeper class train and rickshaw right?
I totally start many stories with “when I was in…” which leads to many of my family and friends looking gazed. I still use flip flops in the shower. You never know what nasty bugs you can pick up! Love the Derek Walcott quote too!
Yes! This list sits with me so well. I got back from India three months ago and am having major withdrawal symptoms D: Heading out again in a few weeks because I can’t stand being home for too long 🙂 I also completed agree with sleeping anywhere hahah, when I was SF, I carried an airplane blanket around with me and napped in parks and benches because I was just that lazy of a person
Seriously laughed through this entire list! I was keeping track of which ones I identified with most, but then realized there were too many of them to list in my comment ha YES YES YES!!!
Unfortunately not all those sign apply to me … yet. But there is always more adventure in the future, I can’t wait to go out there and explore more. Thank you for this really nice post!
